FAQs

We’ve heard it all — here’s what people are really asking behind the scenes.

What types of material handling tasks is the AR 500 built for?

The AR 500 handles payloads up to 500 kg and is suited for medium-duty applications trolley and shelf transport, conveyor-based carton and tote transfer, cobot integration for mobile manipulation, tugger-based material flow, and custom unit load handling. It fits facilities where loads are too heavy for lighter AMRs but don't yet require the heavier AR 650 or AR 1250.

Can the AR 500 work with our existing cobot or robotic arm?

Yes. The AR 500 supports a Cobot Integration Module that enables mobile manipulation via third-party cobot integration. This allows a cobot arm mounted on the AR 500 to travel autonomously between workstations and perform pick, place, or machine tending tasks at each stop  effectively multiplying the cobot's utility across your facility.

How does the AR 500 know where to go and what to do?

Tasks are assigned to the AR 500 through ANSCER Fleet, which receives instructions from your WMS or ERP via API, or through manual triggers from operators. The robot navigates autonomously to its pickup and drop-off points, handles the task, and reports completion back to the fleet system in real time.

Will the AR 500 work in a facility that already has forklifts and human traffic?

Yes. The AR 500 is designed for mixed-traffic environments. Its onboard sensors detect and avoid people, forklifts, and other moving equipment dynamically. Unlike AGVs, it does not stop and wait for a clear path — it reroutes in real time, keeping material moving even in busy facilities.
